Let the Showers Begin...

I know I am behind on blogging, but please forgive me. It has been super busy at work and trying to get everything together for Brady's arrival, I have been exhausted by night. Work had a shower for me last week and it was great. The staff I work with at NHS is wonderful. Jennifer and Emily are the other two counselors and made the shower happen. I got lots of diapers, wipes, and gift cards.

We had a family shower at Brad's mom and dads house today and it was great. Jessica (Brad's cousins wife) did an amazing job with all of the details. We got lots of great stuff and I feel like if Brady were to come tomorrow we would have stuff for him. I know that sounds terrible but we really didn't have anything. Going from a girl to a boy is gonna be a big change.

We have one more shower next Saturday and I can't wait to see what all we get.

Madalyn had a blast at the shower today and she loved opening all of her brother's present. She was very excited when she realized she had presents too. I am 35 weeks pregnant and can't believe the last month is here.

Growin'...

I was brushing Madalyn's hair tonight when we got out of the bath and I couldn't believe how long it has gotten. She loves her long hair, and mommy does to. I am a little sad that it is losing some of its curl but I think it is still beautiful!!

Here is her hair wet, and then the final product :)

New Rooms for the kiddos'...

We are almost finished with Brady's nursery, just a few things to go on the wall and we will be done. I have my dear friend Davina painting canvases to match the 4 patches on his bedding. There is a tricycle, wagon, horse, and rocket. They should be super cute!! My mother-in-law is painting his name. So far it is super cute. I can't wait to see the final product!!

As far as Madalyn goes we decided that since she was starting to climb in and out of her crib, and since I was having a hard time lifting her over the side of it, we would make the plunge to a big girl bed. My goal was to turn her bed into a full size bed. Her goal was something completely different. She wanted nothing, and when I say nothing that is exactly what I mean, to do with the full size bed. So, we just turned her bed into a toddler bed and got new bedding for her. She loves it and is ready for bed before 8:00 every night. We don't normally get to bed by then but it is shortly after! She hasn't gotten out of her bed since we made the change.

Mommy is getting big and uncomfortable, but I know it is all worth it in the end. I am exactly where I was when I was pregnant with Madalyn, but oh my how the pregnancy are completely different. Brady is very forceful with his moves and likes to sit right on my bladder, so everytime I stand up the bathroom is my first stop. At my 28 week checkup I was measuring right on track and Brady was about 1 1/2 pounds (that is an estimate from the Dr.). We are heading into our last 10 weeks and I hope they continue to go by quick. We are ALL (even Madalyn) ready to meet our little man.

Christmas Morning Round 2...

Our Christmas continued with Madalyn getting her own Nook (LeapPad), a horse, movies, and lots more. She is loving everything she got.

Christmas Morning...

Christmas morning started around 8:00! Madalyn never sleeps until 8:00 but she decided to Christmas morning. She woke up and asked for 2 things: 1) Turn the T.B. (tv) on. 2) where is Flee? (the elf). Once we explained to her again that Flee wouldn't be back until next year she was okay with that. We finally got her into the living room and she was so excited about everything. She kept going from her Dora tent to her kitchen, and just wasn't sure what present to open first. It was so much fun.

We went to Brad's parents house about 10:00 and started all over again.

Twas the Night Before Christmas...

After Madalyn's bath last night, it was time to get our milk and cookies ready for Santa. She had to put on her apron and do everything on her own. She even had to sample one of the cookies to make sure they were good enough to leave out for Santa. She loved getting everything ready, and I know next year will be even more fun!!

Christmas Eve Christmas...

We always do Christmas with my family on Christmas Eve. It works out nicely because we are not rushed on Christmas day to get everything in. Madalyn has been telling my mom and stepdad for about 4 months that she wants this certain baby. With the baby comes a backpack, pj's for the baby and Madalyn, a blanket, and extra clothes for the baby. Well, I missed the picture opportunity while helping Madalyn get through the roll of tape that my mom insist on using for a 2 year old. Madalyn opened one present and in the box was all the baby items, minus the baby. She looked at my mom and said, "Uh- where's me baby, Nana?". It was to funny!!!

We had a great Christmas with them and the kids enjoyed everything they got. We even managed to get a few family photos before everybody went home. I have been trying to avoid the camera, but it was Christmas and I wanted a family photo. Here I am at 26 weeks pregnant!!
