Easter 2011

What a wonderful Easter! We had such a good day, started with Church, then lunch with my family, hunted some eggs, nap, ate with Brad's family, hunted eggs, and then headed home for the night. Madalyn had so much fun hunting eggs. She kept saying "hide more". We had to hide the same eggs multiply times but she didn't care.

Spring Break to Remember...

So for spring break this year my mom, Madalyn, and I decided to take a road trip to visit my grandparents in Illinois- 12 hours away!! Madalyn was a tropper, she never fussed about being in her car seat, and didn't even mind being stuck in stand still traffic. My grandparents moved back to Illinois last April, shortly after moving my grandpa fell and broke his hip. He went to a nursing home for rehab, but never could get over the fall. He also has Parkinsons Disease which doesn't help with his mobility. Needless to say he is still in the nursing home. Madalyn wasn't real sure about the place, but it didn't take her long to warm up to the people there, workers and residents. She made my grandpa's day, I can remember when I used to light up his heart, and it makes my heart happy to know that my little girl can bring him the same joy. My grandpa will always hold a special place in my heart and I know I will always be his girl!!! There was no better way to end our trip then with Madalyn giving grandpa a big kiss~ she did this all on her own, no prompting necessary. I love my grandparents very much and I hope they know how much they have impacted my life as a child and adult. I hope we will be able to make the trip again this summer, but time will tell! No better way to end our vacation, then with a kiss from an angel!!

Babies, Babies, Babies...

Madalyn loves babies! She carries her babies everywhere, we have a swing, and a stroller that she puts them in to play with. The bigger the baby the better! This more baby had no idea what was coming when Madalyn started playing with it :).
