1 month old

I can't believe Brady is already a month old.  He went to the doctor today and is 9 lbs and 21 3/4 in. long.  He is such a sweet boy.  He gets up once a night to eat, which makes for a happy mommy!!!

Easter 2012

Well, the Easter Bunny found us.  Madalyn was worried since she didn't get to go sit on his lap that he might not find her house.  These are just a few pictures from the morning.  Then we headed to Church to celebrate the true meaning of Easter.

We had lunch at Brad's parents house and then the egg hunting started.  We are still hunting eggs at our house because Madalyn can't get enough.  Almost daily she tells me she wants the day to be Easter again.  I have tried to make her understand the Easter is only one time a year, but she isn't listening.

Brady enjoyed his first Easter (he slept through most of it) and we were all glad to be able to spend the day with our families.

Madalyn is trying to figure out where the bunny hid the eggs :)

Our Sweet Family of Four

Madalyn was so sweet looking over the side of Brady's bed. Pictures capture those special moments and I am thankful I have them to share with my family.

Brady's 1st Bath

Brady's first bath was given by his big sister. Nell, our nursery nurse, was great. She could see the hesistation from Madalyn and included her in the whole process. After his bath Madalyn warmed up to her new brother.

Welcoming Brady Elden Buchanan...

Brad and I arrived at the hospital at 5:00 on Tuesday, March 27th. We got a room and got everything going by 6:00. Dr. Farmer came in at 7:30, broke my water and started the pitcocin. I got my epideral at 9:30. The nurse came in at 10:00 to see if the epideral was in full effect (it was not), she also checked me and I was dilated to 6 cm. She continued to monitor the epideral to ensure that it was working. About 10 minutes later I told her I was feeling A LOT of pressure. She decided she would check me again before leaving the room. Well, I was at 9 cm. Yes...that is only a 10 minute time frame. She called Dr. Farmer and got everything ready, and at 10:47. Brady made his arrival. We have been blessed with two perfect children, two great pregnancy, and two easy deliveries. I thank God for that everyday!!!

Anxiously awaiting the Doctor's entrance to get the party started!!!

The first time I got a good luck at our sweet "Little Man". Madalyn has started calling him that, and it is catching on!

Brady weighed 6 lbs 14 oz when we got discharged. At his weight check on Saturdayhe weighed 6 lbs 15 oz. It won't be long and it will pick up his weight. He is alreadytaking 3 oz of formula at every feeding. We are going about 4 hours between feedingssometimes longer. Madalyn started running a fever on Wednesday (Fever Virus) gotta love those. We have had to monitor her proximity to Brady and keep a check on both oftheir temperatures. So, since we have been home no pictures have been taking, but I will do better!

Last Weekend as a Family of Three...

We had our last weekend as a family of three. We wanted to make it a special one for Madalyn since we were about to turn her world upside down.

On Saturday, Madalyn and I went to the mall and got a few new outfits, lunch, and a quick stop at the car wash before we called it a day.

On Sunday, we went to Church and then decided to take a trip to the farm so Madalyn could play with the new baby goats, feed the fish, and just have fun. She did just that!!

On Monday, our last day as a family of three, Brad had school so Madalyn, me, and my mom went to get pedicures. Madalyn was taking it all in. She choose a baby blue color for her toes to help welcome her baby brother. We dropped Madalyn off at Brad's mom and dads that night since we had to be at the hospital at 5:00 the next morning.
