Hot Summer Days!

Madalyn is loving summer! She starts the day with her hair brushed and in cute clothes, but by the end of the day her hair is curly and she is naked!

What a beautiful day...

The other afternoon we had a short and needed rainfall. We went outside to enjoy the rest of the day and we saw this beautiful rainbow. Madalyn loves to be outside, and we are loving the summer!

9 Month Check-Up!

Madalyn went for her 9 month checkup today. She is super healthy!! She weighed in at 17.5 pounds (22nd percentile) and she was 29 inches long (81st percentile). She has two teeth, crawling, pulling up, and standing alone for about 10 seconds She can also say a few words. Her vocabulary consist of dada, mama, bye bye (and she waves with it), hi, ki ki (kitty kitty). I know it will not be long and our little one will be walking and talking. I have to get into shape if I am going to keep up with her, she is 90 to nothing now!

First Trip to the ER!

I wasn't going to post this- but I didn't want to forget our first big scare!

Don't worry- everybody is okay! So, Brad, I, and Madalyn went to the lake Friday to spend the weekend (or we thought) with Kari, Will, and the girls. Kari and I were getting supper ready and Madalyn was playing with her toys. I thought the gate at the top of the stairs was locked and much to my surprise it was not. By the time I could get to Madalyn she had fallen down the first few stairs. As a mother, the first thing you do is PANIC. I grabbed her up and assessed the damage. Thank God~ there was only two places (looked like carpet burns) on her head. One in the front and one in the back. After getting her calmed down (and myself), we decided we would head back to Dothan just to be sure everything was okay. We arrived at the Medical Center ER at 8:00- they were great. We got right back, the Dr. came in and we were on are way to get a CAT Scan and chest X-Ray. Everything came back normal, and the Dr. sent us home and just told us to keep an eye on her for 24 hours. We were home by 10:00, I think that is great when you go to the ER! So, Brad and I took the Dr.'s advice and watched her like hawks for 24 hours. I am happy to report that she is back up and running (figuratively speaking) like nothing happened. It is amazing how strong babies are and how little bodies can bounce right back. We are very thankful that all is well, we know that it could have been a lot worse!

Family Fun Day for Lindsey!

As most of my blog readers know we had a fundraiser for sweet little Lindsey on Saturday. Lindsey is a 5 year old little girl who has an inoperable tumor on her brain stem. She is doing great with her chemo and radiation, and her family is staying strong and postive. With our fundraiser we raised over $6500. It is awesome to see how people just wanted to help make the day possible. God is good, and Saturday was just an example of how great He is! I want to thank Jan and Lori for setting everything up, I wish I could have been more help. Here are some pictures of the fun filled, really hot day!!

Going for A Ride!

Madalyn has this little car stroller at Brad's parents house. She loves it! Their drive way has a slope in it and she can go fast down the hill, she thinks it is too funny!

Sleeping Beauty!

Madalyn is so sweet all of the time, but a sleeping baby can take your breath away. She is so peaceful!

Braves Sweep the Phillies!

Brad, Brett, and I went to a Braves game last week. We had a blast and the Braves won to sweep the Phillies. Our seats were awesome. All the pictures below are from our seats, so that lets you know how close we were. Our seats were behind home plate and about 10 rows back. We hope to go to another game soon!

Memorial Day Weekend!

Happy Memorial Day to everyone! I know I am late posting and I apologize. So for our Memorial Day we went to Mrs. Ashley's to swim. We had a great time and thank Mrs. Ashley for inviting us. Madalyn loves the water but you have to hold her because she tries to jump in, you can see that Jennifer got the privilege to swim with Madalyn. The water was a little cool but it felt good since it was so hot outside.

My sweet baby girl!
All the girls, Madalyn decided to give the guys a wave!
