Merry Christmas Day...

We celebrated Christmas day at home with Santa first and I have to say Santa was good to us all! We went to Grandaddy and Gammie's after that and got more presents. Madalyn's favorite present was her slide. She played on that all morning. If it would just warm up to play on it now.

Merry Christmas Eve...

We had a wonderful Christmas! We started with Christmas Eve at mom's. It was great. The girls had so much fun. Madalyn enjoyed sitting on the boxes and playing with everything once it was unwrapped. She wasn't a big fan of unwrapping, but I can't say I blame her. She has loved all of her new toys she got from Nana, Poppy, Aunt Kari, Uncle Will, Carli, and Jaci.

Not Afraid of Anything...

Madalyn loves to climb. She will climb on anything and everything. The other night we were playing and I turned around to find her standing on top of her toy chest. She carried one of her toys over there, turned it upside down so she had a flat surface and was on top in seconds. The bottom picture she is laughing at herself as I was TRYING to get on to her!!

Christmas times a coming...

I love Christmas! I have a bunch of different Christmas outfits for Madalyn, but this one is probably my favorite. A friend made it for us and it is so cute. You can't tell in the pictures but the pants look like the bottom of the shirt. Love it!! Madalyn's new favorite place to play is IN the Christmas tree- she does not like to get in trouble and she is getting in a lot these days, but I guess that is part of it. Merry Christmas!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving...

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Ate to much and I really have to start the diet I have been talking about since I had Madalyn. I forgot my camera at Brad's parents, but remembered to take it to my parents. I only managed to get a few pictures of Madalyn and Evan. Evan is my cousin Miranda's little boy. They had so much fun together. Can't wait until Christmas!!!

Happy Halloween...

We had a very good Halloween weekend. We took Madalyn and Jaci around my in-laws neighborhood to trick-or-treat. Madalyn had a blast and was worn out by the time we got home. Sunday we took Madalyn and Jaci to the Fall Festival at Church. Madalyn couldn't play the games but she liked watching Jaci. Madalyn was a scary witch for Halloween, see if you can guess which picture is her scary face!

Ready to go...

Madalyn loves her babies! She really loves the baby that you can put in her bag and tote around. She fills the bag with books, bracelets, and her phone, puts her baby in and is ready to go to town. She is so funny, she gets on her little bike and rocks back and forth like she is driving somewhere. She is such a joy to be around- I'm not sure what we did before she was here!

The Pumpkin Patch...

We made our trip to the pumpkin patch yesterday. I have to say it was a lot hotter this year than last year, but maybe it will be cooler before Halloween. The girls had a good time. Jaci just kept adding pumpkins to her pile (I think they ended up with 4 pumpkins). Madalyn just wanted to pick them up and eat them. She did like smelling the sunflowers and looking at the animals. Overall it was a great day!!

1 Year Check Up...

So, Madalyn had her year check-up on Thursday, and it was an experience like no other! She screamed from the time the nurse walked in until she left. She kept pointing to the door and telling the Dr. bye bye. She had all of those terrible shots and they took blood from her finger to check her iron. She kept rubbing her finger and moaning in the car on the way home. The Dr.'s report was good- he said Madalyn is a healthy, active one year old. She weighs 18 lbs. 11 oz. (11.6% for her age) and is 31 in. long (87% for her age). She is finally back to herself and hasn't ran fever for since yesterday morning, so we are good to go.

On Friday, she had to go to the foot Dr. about her feet. Well, she screamed the whole time again, and the Dr. wasn't able to do a whole lot. We have to continue her exercises and she has to continue wearing her corrective shoes. They will do X-rays in December to see if we are making progress.

I want to give my mom (Madalyn's nana) a special thanks for taking her to her check-ups. I can say I am glad I didn't have to, because I would have cried the whole time too.

Happy 1st Birthday Madalyn...

Madalyn loved the cupcakes and ice cream. She ate the entire cupcake! Needless to say she did not eat a very big supper, but I guess once a year won't hurt her. I can't believe my little girl is a year old. Time flies, and I am enjoying every minute of it!! Thank you to all of our family and friends for celebrating with us! We love you Madalyn :).

Presents, Presents, and more Presents...

Madalyn had so much fun opening presents. I think she got a little overwhelmed, but still had a good time.

What a Year...

It is hard to believe that this time last year I was at the hospital begging for pain medication (that I never got). It was this day a year ago that our beautiful little girl was born. We thank God each and everyday for Madalyn and all of His wonderful blessings that He has given to our family. I can remember the pain I was in this time last year, but all of that pain went away the very first time I held Madalyn in my arms. She is such a joy and this year has been amazing. We are excited to share this day with family and friends and I know that we will have many more years to celebrate.

I will post pictures later of the little princess on her special day!

Madalyn's First Haircut...

Madalyn refuses to keep a bow in her hair so I had to break down and cut her bangs. They are not perfect, but what do you do when you have a moving object!?! Here is a picture before, during, and after her 1st haircut.
