We went to Silver Lake this past weekend with my sister, Will, and the girls. Madalyn had such a good time. She liked the water as long as you were holding her or if she was sitting at the edge. She did not like her ring- so we are going to have to work on that! The 1st picture is her new face that she likes to make all the time, especially if she wants you to laugh at her, she is so funny. This was her first time really in the water so I think it was a success and I can not wait for the summer to get here.

Mother's Day!
I know I am a little behind on my blogging, so please forgive me. Happy belated Mother's Day to all of you moms! My first mother's day was great! Brad and Madalyn got me a new camera. Here are some shots with my new gift. I am so excited to really learn how to use it and all of its functions. I love the last picture on this post. I can tell a difference in the picture quality from my old digital camera to my new Nikon D300. Thank you Brad and Madalyn for making me the happiest mother in the world.
Thanks Jessica!

Past Down From Generations!
Madalyn and I decided to play dress up in some very old and special dresses. Each one of these dresses has meaning behind it. The first picture is of a dress that Brad's great-grandmother had made for Madalyn. It is still a little big but we wanted to get a picture. Brad's great-grandmother (Mattie) is 91 years old. Yes, that is where Madalyn's name came from for all of our friends that did not know. The Lyn part of her name is a contribution from my mom, sister, and Brad's mom. Anyway, the second picture is a dress that was mine. It fits her good, but Madalyn did not like all the lace. The third picture, and it was the only picture I could get in this dress, belonged to my mother. The dress was way to fragile to leave on for more than a minute. The last two dresses belonged to my sister, Kari. The green one was a little big, but I think Madalyn looks like a little antique doll. I am just glad my mom had these dresses for us to make memories in.
