Little Man is not so Little anymore...

Brady is 6 months old...OMG!!!  He is so funny.  He is the happiest, sweetest baby! Madalyn was too, but Brady smiles all day long.  Even when he doesn't feel good he is going to smile.  Madalyn had to join in on Brady's 6 month photo shoot and be a 1 month old superstar!!!  Brady's hair is always out of control.  It will not lay down, doesn't matter what you do to it.

Brady went for his 6 mont check up and he weighed in at...

17 lbs 5 oz. 28 inches long.

He will be bigger than his sister in no time :)...she better watch out!!!

My Baby Girl is 3...

I can't believe Madalyn is 3 years old...where has the time gone.  She is the happiest, sweetest, little girl  I know, most of the time.  I am so thankful that God chose Brad and I to be her parents.

Madalyn celebrated her birthday with 3 parties.  She had one on the Saturday before with Brad's mom and dad and a few other family members.  My in-laws were taking a much needed vacation and wouldn't be here for Madalyn's other party.  She didn't mind getting presents and cake on 3 different days :).  On Wednesday, her actual birthday.  Brad and I got her a small cake and gave her her presents from us.  My mom, stepdad, and granny came over too.  On Saturday she had a party with all her friends.  She had a great turn out and the kids had a blast.

We just want to thank everybody for celebrating with us.

Madalyn went for her check-up and she weighed in at....drum roll please!!!

29 lbs 38 inches tall!!!

We are so excited that she is finally gaining some weight!!!!

Happy Birthday Daddy...

We celebrated Brad's birthday this weekend.  As you can see Madalyn got to pick out his birthday cake, she just knew that he wanted Buzz and Woody.  Madalyn enjoyed the cake to the fullest.  Brady got to sample a little but not to much.

Growing way to fast...

I can't believe Brady is 5 months old.  He is growing way to fast, I don't remember Madalyn growing this fast.  Brady is doing a lot, he is sitting up for 5-10 minutes by himself, then he tumbles over.  He can get to anything he wants, remote controls, toys, his sister's hair.  He talks all the time and gets really loud.  He wants to make sure we are listening.  He is starting to stay on his stomach more because he has figured out how to get around a little better.  He is sleeping better a night and will occasionally sleep through the night.  He only gets up once when he does wake up so I am not complaining.

He weighs 16 lbs!!!  He loves to eat.  He gets cereal and fruit for breakfast, veggie and fruit at lunch, and then a veggie/ meat and fruit at supper.  He isn't taking much milk these days but I know he is getting what he needs.  He loves his cup with juice too!!

Here is a day at the Buchanan house.  Brady trying to get anything he can from his sister.  Madalyn is not much on sharing her toys.  Here Brady is trying to get Madalyn's milk.  She put up a fight for a little bit but then gave in.

Where has the time gone...

I can't believe my baby girl is about to be 3.  She also started K-3 today at Northside Methodist Academy.  We are so excited about the program at NMA and I know Madalyn will do great.

Today was her first day and she did so good.  She went right in the class and turned around and said "bye mommy, love you".  She never missed a beat.  It kind of broke my heart but I got over it.  I didn't want her to cry but she could have at least acted like she was gonna miss me.

She has been so excited about starting school.  She has her clothes and snacks picked out for the week.  She is too funny.  I asked her today if she had fun and if she wanted to go back tomorrow.  She just looked at me like I was crazy and said "yes! I have to go everyday!".

4 months old...

I can't believe Brady is 4 months old. I know I say that every month but the time is flying by way to fast.  He is changing so much and getting an awesome little personality.  He is rolling over and trying to seat up.  He will seat up for 5-10 seconds by himself with out falling over.  He is eating 8 oz. every 4 hours and getting cereal in the morning and at night.  He loves his cereal!!!  We are going to start veggies and fruit this weekend, I hope he loves them as much as the yummy rice cereal.  He is still getting up once a night to eat but it is getting better.  He has had some stomach issues the last 2 weeks and has been waking up dirty, I think when he gets that back to normal we will start sleeping better.

At 4 months old for Madalyn she weighed in at 12 lbs 6 oz. 25 in. long.

Brady at 4 months old weighed in at 14 lbs 13 oz. 26 3/4 in long.

I knew that he outweighed her but I didn't think the length was that different.  I keep telling her that her time is coming and he is going to be bigger than her.  She has been taking advantage of his and her size lately.  She gave him his first bruise on the head when she threw my phone and it hit him.  She didn't like the consequences to that so I hope she plays nice from now on.

Family Reunion...

It was that time of year again...We made the long haul to Robinson, Illinois for our family reunion.  We have such a good time and would not miss it.  Hopefully next year the family will come south.  Madalyn and Brady did great on the way up.  We drove to my dad's Thursday night and then made our way to Robinson on Friday morning.  The kids were great even when dad and Tammy got a flat tire in the 100 degree heat.  The guys played golf all weekend, while the girls and Brady hung out at the pool.

The weekend came to an end all to quick but it was great seeing everybody.  Everybody (except Jaci) made this trip so it was good to have the whole family together. Jaci was playing in a softball tournament and couldn't make the trip.

We left Sunday morning around 8:30 to make the long haul make to Alabama.  We were doing great until we got south of Birmingham...wouldn't you know it, my car breaks down.  Thank God it was raining and the temperature dropped about 20 degrees.  After 2 1/2 hours are roadside assistance showed up.  We got the car towed home and got a rental car.  We finally made it home around 10:00 Sunday night.  The kids were amazing!!!
